FLORHAM PARK, N.J.: Aaron Rodgers aims to return to practice after tearing his left Achilles tendon in his debut with the New York Jets on Sept. 11. He hopes to be back on the field in two weeks to celebrate his 40th birthday on Dec. 2. Rodgers, a four-time NFL MVP, is currently on injured reserve and would have 21 days from his first practice to be activated by the Jets. He feels a personal responsibility for his injury and has set a condition for his return based on the Jets’ playoff contention status. Without Rodgers, the Jets have struggled offensively, while Rodgers has been working diligently on his rehabilitation in hopes of a fast return.
