Saudi Pro League side Al Nassr climbed to second in the domestic table following a 3-0 win over Al-Akhdoud at home on Friday.
A Cristiano Ronaldo double after Sami Al-Najei’s opening strike gave Al Nassr a win over strugglers Al-Akhdoud.
However, his second goal of the night was the one that caught eyeballs as the Portuguese superstar scored from way out with a looping shot as he spotted the goalkeeper well outside his mark.
The resounding win took Al Nassr to 34 points from 14 games in the season so far as the Knights of Najd have registered 11 wins, a draw and a couple of losses this campaign.

The five-time Ballon d’Or winner also went clear at the top of the goal-scorers standings with the double as he pushed his goal tally to 15 for the season. Second in the table is Alexandar Mitrovic, who has found the back of the net 10 times in the campaign.
Ronaldo moved to the Saudi outfit following his controversial exit from Manchester United, following which a plethora of big-name players such as Sadio Mane, Riyadh Mahrez and Roberto Firmino have moved to the Middle Eastern nation.

Al-Akhdoud on the other hand are struggling at the other end of the table placed 16th in the 18-team league with just 10 points from 14 outings. They have just three wins and a draw to their name since the beginning of the season, losing as many as 10 games.
Al Nassr will take on Iranian side Persepolis FC in their AFC Champions League encounter on Monday next, before visiting Al Hilal for a top-of-the-table clash in the Saudi Pro League on the first of December.
