The Miami Dolphins continue to show they are not settling yet. Miami’s most recent victory was over the New York Jets on Black Friday, making their record 8-3. The plan is to win the AFC East and go deep in the playoffs. Miami’s schedule is favorable, with four of the last five games being home games. They have maintained an undefeated streak when playing at home this season, and the next three opponents have losing records. Despite recent turnovers, Miami’s next three opponents have losing records, and they have not lost to a team with a losing record yet this season. Miami’s offense continued to perform well against the Jets, despite turning the ball over three times. Tagovailoa went 21 of 30 for 243 yards, one touchdown, and two interceptions. Tagovailoa expressed that he knows he must get better as well as the ball security for is an area of needed improvement. Miami’s defense also played an outstanding game, holding the Jets to only 159 total yards on offense. Miami has held its opponent to under 300 yards in the past four games, something coach Mike McDaniel credits the team for. The run defense has shown significant improvement. They held the Jets to 29 rushing yards on 10 carries, the lowest rushing total Miami has allowed in four years. The Dolphins look forward to their game against the Washington Commanders next Sunday before finishing their season with primarily home games.
