The 195th ranked Seychelles was crushed 9-0 by Ivory Coast in a World Cup qualifying match, setting a record for the largest margin of victory in an African qualifying match. Other matches included Egypt’s 6-0 win over Djibouti and Ghana’s 1-0 win over Madagascar thanks to a goal by Inaki Williams. The first round of qualifying matches continues over the weekend.
