Nice secured their eighth consecutive clean sheet in a 1-0 win against Toulouse, keeping them close to Paris Saint-Germain in Ligue 1.
Paris defeated Monaco 5-2 on Friday and currently have 30 points from 13 games, while Nice have 29 and Monaco 24.
Nice has not fallen behind in any of their 13 Ligue 1 matches this season, breaking the record of 12 held by Bordeaux since the 1984-85 season.
Despite conceding only four goals all season, Nice has only scored 14, which is significantly less compared to PSG’s 34.
“Our main strength is our defence,” said Nice coach Francesco Farioli.
“We arent interested in statistics, but it’s nice racking up the points,” he said.
On Sunday, Terem Moffi scored the only goal of the game for Nice, securing a 1-0 victory over Toulouse at the Allianz Riviera stadium.
Later on Sunday, Lyon is set to host Lille as they sit at the bottom of Ligue 1 with only seven points from 11 matches.
Lens continued their unbeaten streak in Ligue 1 with a 3-0 victory over Clermont on Saturday, gearing up for their upcoming Champions League game at Arsenal on Wednesday.
Marseille’s winless streak has now reached four league matches after a 1-1 draw at Strasbourg.
Emanuel Emegha put Strasbourg ahead early on, but Jonathan Clauss leveled the score before the half-hour mark.
However, Gennaro Gattuso’s men were unable to find a winner and currently sit ninth in the table, 16 points behind Paris Saint-Germain.
