Eduardo Camavinga picked up a knee-ligament injury when training with the French National Team for the Euro 2024 Qualifiers and his expected return is currently unknown.

Real Madrid and French midfielder, Eduardo Camavinga was reported by the club to have suffered a knee injury while training with the national side on Friday.

21-year-old Camavinga picked up the injury, said to have returned to Spain for further scans.

The club have not revealed the time frame on his return but it seems that he could be out for months.

Camavinga has been part of the Real Madrid side this season as one of their crucial players this year. The Los Blancos have assembled a midfield for the future with Camavinga along with Uruguay’s Fede Valverde, French teammate Aurielien Tchouameni and the English star Jude Bellingham.

Camavinga already has a Champions League title to his name from the 2021-2022. He was also a big part of Carlo Anceoltti’s plans where he used the player at the left-back position when the original full-backs were out injured.

Real Madrid will hope for the quick recovery of the French midfielder as their charge for the La Liga title continues with the side now standing at second position with 32 points. Their arch-rivals Barcelona trail behind with two points while the unexpected league leaders, Girona sit at the top of the season with 34 points.
