The Pittsburgh Steelers spent 15 minutes in a team meeting discussing the abrupt firing of former offensive coordinator Matt Canada. It was followed by the promotion of running backs coach Eddie Faulkner to interim offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach Mike Sullivan calling the plays. Quarterback Kenny Pickett said that the first day of the Faulkner-Sullivan collaboration went “smooth.” The players understand that they all need to be better and the focus over the next two months will be centered on Pickett’s development.
