The FIA World Endurance Championship has announced that MotoGP legend Valentino Rossi will be competing in the new LMGT3 category, including the Le Mans 24 Hours. Rossi expressed his excitement for the opportunity to race in a world championship and the chance to compete globally once again. Former F1 driver Robert Kubica will also be driving a Ferrari in the top Hypercar category, and Mick Schumacher, son of Michael Schumacher, will be making his Hypercar debut with Renault-owned Alpine. Championship organizers have published the entry list with a record 19 Hypercars and 14 manufacturers represented across both classes. McLaren will be making their LMGT3 debut in partnership with United Autosports. WEC chief executive Frederic Lequien expressed his excitement over the competitiveness and participation of 19 Hypercars and 18 LMGT3 entries representing 14 different manufacturers.
