Texas A&M terminated football coach Jimbo Fisher, paying him more than $75 million — the remaining balance of his 10-year contract signed in 2020. This is the highest buyout in college sports history.
Athletic director Ross Bjork stated that the donor-backed 12th Man Foundation will make an initial payment of $19 million to Fisher within 60 days, with the rest coming from athletic department funds.
