Undefeated Liberty Aims for Perfect Regular Season Against UTEP

An undefeated regular season and a spot in the conference’s championship game are at stake for Liberty. They are also aiming to become the first Division I program in Virginia to win 12 games in a season.


Liberty RB Quinton Cooley vs. UTEP LB Tyrice Knight. Cooley, the only 1,000-yard rusher in C-USA, faces off against Knight, the FBS leader in solo tackles.


Liberty: Kaidon Salter, one of three FBS quarterbacks to rank in the top 20 nationally in passing touchdowns and rushing TDs, with 28 TDs through the air and 11 on the ground. UTEP: RB Deion Hankins, a significant threat for the Miners.


First-year Liberty coach Jamey Chadwell has a 42-6 record since the start of the 2020 season. UTEP’s Kanious Vaughn is fourth in the conference with six sacks, and teammate Praise Amaewhule is fifth with five.
