The Football Association (FA) announced the first call-ups for England in the upcoming European Championship qualifiers against Malta and North Macedonia. Chelsea’s Cole Palmer, Manchester City’s Rico Lewis, and Aston Villa’s Ezri Konsa will be joining the squad for the matches. Palmer, who recently scored four league goals for Chelsea, has been impressive since joining the team from Manchester City. Additionally, James Maddison, Lewis Dunk, and Callum Wilson have withdrawn from the squad due to injury. Real Madrid’s Jude Bellingham is also facing injury concerns but retains his spot in the squad. The squad, which includes players from top clubs like Chelsea, Manchester City, and Arsenal, will be facing Malta at Wembley and North Macedonia in the upcoming matches. England has already qualified for the Euro 2024 finals.
