Colorado Secures Victory Over Cincinnati in Paradise Jam Tournament Opener

The third-ranked Buffaloes got off to a strong start at the Paradise Jam tournament with a 77-60 win over Cincinnati. Coach JR Payne was pleased with the team’s performance for the most part, although she felt they got a bit stagnant in the final 10 minutes of the game. Payne emphasized the importance of getting the win against a tough opponent and acknowledged that her team was ready to move on to the next challenge.

Cincinnati’s Jillian Hayes and Mya Jackson put up a good fight, but their efforts weren’t enough to overcome Colorado’s dominance. Despite a late push from Cincinnati, the Buffaloes maintained their lead and secured the victory.

Looking ahead, Colorado will face Kentucky while Cincinnati will take on 10th-ranked North Carolina State at the Paradise Jam. Both teams will continue to be tested in the tournament as they prepare for the challenges ahead.
